The Lodge is delighted to congratulate Bro Bradley Starkey on the addition of a new member of the family.

After extensive consideration — and a telephone call some thirty minutes before the meeting began, to say “Sorry, I brought my Masonic gear with me, but I’m afraid my wife is giving birth at the moment and the baby is expected within the hour” — the Lodge’s Executive Committee determined (by allegedly only a majority vote) that this constituted a reasonable excuse, and the fine for an officer being late, or failing to attend, was duly rescinded.
